Charlie's Prediction Time

I haven't missed 3 Falcon football games in a season in years, let alone 3 in a row (Wedding, funeral, business travel).  So tonight I can't wait to get on the road and Fly with the Falcons!

Before we get to the fun stuff, please remember and say a prayer for all those in our SA community that have recently lost a loved one and those that are suffering from serious illness...

Thanks to everyone who sponsored the Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament this upcoming weekend and thanks to all those that are playing! If you missed your chance we'll catch you next year.  Remember, it's always the last Sunday in September (9.24.17)...

I get some great stuff passed on to me including this: Click here

Might be the greatest group sing along since this one: Click here     And here's some great background on the shoot from Hanoi Jane: Click here

Alright, enough singing and dancing - let's play football!

Tonight the Falcons are expected to have their toughest district test of the season.  The Cardinals and the Falcons are the only two remaining unbeatens in District 7 so this one has huge playoff implications.  The Falcons have looked tough all year.  Frankly, you wonder when a letdown might occur, but I don't think it will be tonight.

Earlham plays bunch style smash-mouth football but will throw it around a little bit (10 attempts a game).  They have 3 guys all with 30+ carries and have 2 guys with 6 receptions each.  They've got good size up front and have skill guys too.  They will remind you of Griswold teams of the past, but with a little more throwing.

I'm a bit concerned about the Falcons game conditioning since the starters haven't gone 4 quarters since game 2.  Throw in some serious heat on the turf and...  Something tells me though, the Falcons have been doing a little conditioning and should be fine.

The key to me tonight will be turnovers.  Earlham will try and grind the clock and if they can get a lead and then a turnover then things could get rather interesting on the road.  You can't let teams hang around late in the game.  You know, all the cliché stuff...

In the end I think the Falcons will be focused and will fly on the field turf.  Let's get a Flock of The Faithful on I-80 tonight, but for those that can't be there I'll be taking over the twitter account tonight.

The Green & Gold look impressive winning:
